CKIBC Milestone Celebration

On June 2, 2025, the Canada-Kurdistan Iraq Business Council (CKIBC) proudly hosted its milestone event in Erbil, bringing together high-level government officials, diplomats, and business leaders. The celebration was honored by the presence of Mr. Shaun Ismail, President of CKIBC, alongside H.E. Mr. Christopher Boehm, Canadian Ambassador to Iraq, and senior representatives from the Kurdistan Regional Government, including H.E. Mr. Sarwar Kamal Hawari, H.E. Dr. Mohammed Shukri, H.E. Dr. Saman Barzanji, and H.E. Mr. Safeen Dizayee. Distinguished guests delivered insightful speeches on trade, investment, healthcare, and international cooperation, highlighting the importance of strengthening economic and commercial partnerships between Canada, Iraq, and Kurdistan. The event also recognized the invaluable contributions of CKIBC's partners, advisors, and volunteers in making this initiative a success. This milestone marked the official launch of CKIBC's efforts to foster trade, investment, and innovation across key sectors such as renewable energy, agriculture, technology, tourism, and oil & gas, paving the way for a brighter future of cooperation between Canada and Kurdistan-Iraq.
